"Cat, Dog, Stoop" Holiday Episode!

Cat is visited by the ghost of Frank Capra and is shown what Fort Greene, Brooklyn would be like if he didn't exist. He wouldn't have talked to Melaena, the Real estate cockroach voiced by Melaena Cadiz, about Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine. He wouldn't have made an impression on Francis or Dusty either. And what would have happened to Dog? We, the viewers, experience it all through Cat's eyes thanks to the king of Cinema, Mr. Capra. Enjoy!

Lucia interviewed on Democracy Now! this morning

My wife, Lucia, is the first interviewee on this morning's Democracy Now! show hosted by Amy Goodman. She's reporting from Cancun, Mexico, the location of this year's UN climate change conference, the COP 16. Lucia talks about Liu Xiaobo receiving the Nobel Peace prize and about her upcoming article in The Nation that explains the evolution of the relationship between the US and China regarding their environmental policies. I was with Lucia in Cancun for four days of the COP and, like I always am when I witness her do her work, I was so proud and impressed. Go Lucia!

'Cat, Dog, Stoop' animated series!

This month my animated series, "Cat, Dog, Stoop" will be released on Babelgum.com . They are minute-long episodes about a cat and a dog observing life in Brooklyn. I have teamed up with the Dilbert and New Yorker cartoon animators, Ringtales.com , to make this happen. It's been almost a year in the works and I'm excited for it to see daylight! For this project I'm writing the episodes and doing all animating and voice work. Ringtales does the final sound mix, FX and score and is in charge of distribution. Here are some background drawings:

from top to bottom: 1. the master shot. 2. reverse of the master- POV from cat and dog of the street
3. close up of cat over dog's shoulder 4. POV from a cockroach character of the street.

Here's a detail of a map I'm making for local muralist,

single panel cartoons.

Here are two stills from an animation I'm creating for
local musician/sculptor, Adam Mugavero.
